vivo has just unveiled its latest lineup of flagship smartphones in China: the X100 Ultra, X100s, and X100s Pro.
vivo X100 Ultra
Starting with the X100 Ultra, its standout feature is its cutting-edge camera system. The main camera boasts a 1-inch type Sony LYT-900 sensor, while the periscope camera utilizes a 200MP ISOCELL HP9 sensor co-developed with Samsung, making it the largest telephoto sensor ever seen on a phone.
The periscope camera is equipped with a 1/1.4″ sensor, the largest ever seen on a phone, featuring an f/2.67 aperture and a 85mm equivalent focal length.
Offering up to 3.7x optical zoom and 20x magnification in telephoto macro mode, it also boasts industry-leading CIPA 4.5 telephoto stabilization. It also features Zeiss T* coating and APO certification for enhanced clarity and reduced fringing.
vivo introduces its proprietary BlueImage algorithm with the X100 Ultra, designed to address common photography issues like backlighting and low-light detail preservation. Additionally, the device is powered by the Vivo V3+ imaging chip for 4K portrait video recording.
The X100 Ultra’s 50MP main camera sports a 1/0.98” LYT-900 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture with gimbal stabilization and supports 4K 120fps video recording and Dolby Vision. It also includes a 14mm equivalent ultrawide camera with a 1/2″ 50MP LYT-600 sensor.
Moving on to other specifications, the X100 Ultra sports a curved 6.78-inch E7 LTPO AMOLED 2K display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels and a 1-120Hz refresh rate, boasting up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.
It features a 50MP front-facing camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Weighing 229 grams and measuring 9.23mm thick, it houses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
Running on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, the device is powered by a 5,500mAh battery supporting fast wired 80W and wireless charging 30W. It also supports 5.5G and two-way satellite connectivity in China, alongside standard connectivity options like 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and is IP69 & IP68 rated.

vivo X100s and X100s Pro
vivo also introduced two new models, the vivo X100s and the vivo X100s Pro, joining the X100 Ultra in its lineup. These are the first phones to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC.
The vivo X100s and X100s Pro feature 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED displays with 1,260 x 2,800 pixel resolution and 10-bit colors covering 100% DCI-P3. These displays reach a brightness of 3,000 nits and utilize 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
Plus, vivo has included pixel compensation technology, extending screen lifespan by over two times. While the X100s has a flat display, the X100s Pro retains the curved display of its predecessor.
In terms of design, the X100s and X100s Pro are slightly thicker and heavier at 8.91mm and 224g respectively. However, this allows for a larger battery capacity of 5,400mAh in the X100s Pro, while the X100s model features a 5,100mAh battery. Both support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Despite the increased battery capacity, the X100s is thinner at 7.8mm compared to both the original X100 (8.5mm) and the X100s Pro. However, it weighs the same as the X100s Pro at 203g.
The vivo X100s Pro is equipped with the vivo V3 imaging chip and features a large 1/0.98-inch main sensor (IMX989) with an f/1.75 lens and OIS. It also includes a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope camera with floating lens OIS design.
On the other hand, the X100s sports a smaller 50MP main module with an f/1.57 lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Its tele camera adopts a periscope design and features a 50MP sensor. Both models feature 32MP selfie cameras with f/2.0 lenses.
Additionally, both models offer an IP69 rating, in addition to the IP68 rating for submersion in water.
