OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G with Military Grade Durability, IP69, IP68 and IP66 ratings launching in India on June 13


OPPO has confirmed the launch of F27 Pro+ 5G, the company’s next smartphone in the F series in India on June 13th. This will be the first smartphone in the country with IP69, IP68 and IP66 ratings, Military Grade Durability with MIL-STD-810H ratings and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for the display, says that company.

It also has Swiss SGS Premium Performance 5 Stars Drop Resistance. OPPO India said that dipstick that it conducted in May on Instagram, LinkedIn and X found that 42% of 6000+ respondents need a water-resistant smartphone for monsoons, 30% want a waterproof device for beach or poolside use, 19% prefer drop-proof protection for clumsy moments, while 9% said they valued a scratch-proof toughened glass to brave coins and keys in their pockets and purses.

  • IP66: The highest level of protection against dust and regular water jets.
  • IP68: The highest level of protection against dust and water immersion up to 1.5m for 30 mins.
  • IP69: The highest level of protection against dust and high-pressure water jets at temperatures up to 80°C.

The phone will come in Midnight Navy and Dusk Pink colours with a leather back with a Cosmos Ring design, 3D Curved AMOLED display. OPPO said that it has coated the leather back with siloxane to improve stain resistance and to ensure that customers can use the phone case-free.

The smartphone’s circular camera module adopts a centrally symmetrical layout that showcases the charm of the central axis, while its 7.89mm slim profile and weighs 177g and promises comfortable in-hand feel.

The specifications are similar to the OPPO A3 Pro which was launched in China back in April, so we can expect a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved OLED screen, Dimensity 7050 SoC, 64MP rear camera along with a 2MP depth sensor and a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
