HONOR just announced Magic V Flip, the company’s first flip phone, at an event in China, as it had promised. The phone has a 6.8-inch FHD+ 1-120Hz LTPO OLED screen with up to 3000 nits peak brightness and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
For the first time in a flip phone, the phone has a 4-inch 0.1-120Hz LTPO OLED external screen with just 2.87mm external screen border, 85% ultra-high screen-to-body ratio, up to 2500 nits peak brightness and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. Both the screen support Dolby Vision, full-screen AOD and more.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, has 0.25mm ultra-thin liquid-cooled VC and 2300mm² ultra -large heat dissipation area, up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. There is a 50MP Sony IMX816 front camera, 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera, OIS and 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 2.5cm macro.
The phone is 14.89mm thick when folded, and when unfolded it is just 7.15mm thick, and weighs just 193 grams even though it packs a 4800mAh battery. There is a self-developed RF enhanced chip C1+, and the supports 66W fast charging for 45% charge in 15 minutes, and gets fully charged in 42 minutes.
