After teasers, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 14 Pro series smartphones in China on September 26th. The company already said that the phones will feature a major upgrade in quality that include a new level of drop resistance, and new level of waterproofness, achieving stronger waterproofness for the entire device.
Today, the company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 Pro series have passed TUV SUD IP66/IP68/IP69 test and the SUD 2-meter 24-hour waterproof test, and will offer free ‘water ingress protection’ for the first sale.
It has also confirmed Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection for the series. It has passed the 1.8-meter ultra-high-strength drop test. The first sale will come with free ‘broken screen insurance’ said the company.
Earlier teaser already revealed Redmi Note 14 Pro+ with a 50MP camera with OIS and f/1.6 aperture for the main camera. There is a 60mm f/2.2 mid-focus lens.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro version has four colors: Twilight Purple, Phantom Blue, Mirror Porcelain White, and Midnight Black. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ version has three colors: Star Sand Blue, Mirror Porcelain White, and Midnight Black.
Redmi Brand’s General Manager Wang Teng Thomas said that the Note 14 Pro+ will be the most elegant Note ever, with curved bezels and a four-curved back. The Note 14 Pro also uses a curved screen design for the first time, while the back uses a two-tone design for the Phantom Blue, and Twilight Purple.
The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 TWS earbuds with dual ceramic units, lagship sound quality, 49dB and a total battery life of 42 hours will also be introduced at the event on September 26th.
