Samsung Galaxy A36 5G with Snapdragon SoC, Android 15 surfaces in benchmarks

Samsung is preparing its latest iteration of its popular A series devices, which should launch next year after the Galaxy S25 series. The Galaxy A36 recently surfaced on Geekbench, revealing its key specifications before its official launch.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy A36 runs Android 15 out of the box. This means the company might ship with its upcoming One UI 7.0 which will debut next year with tons of Galaxy AI features.

The listing further reveals some key CPU information. It will feature an ARM-based octa-core CPU with 4 performance cores operating at 2.40 GHz and 4 efficiency cores operating at 1.80 GHz. The smartphone received a single-core score of 1060 and a multi-core score of 3070.

The Galaxy A36 features Adreno 710 GPU, meaning it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipsets. These are 4nm chipsets with 5G connectivity.

The Geekbench-listed variant of the smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM. There is a strong possibility that the company may release variants with higher RAM and storage capacities as well. It is also expected that the company will adopt a 6-year OS update policy for this device, similar to the Galaxy A16 5G.

Apart from these, we can expect features like a Super AMOLED screen with a high refresh rate, a high-resolution main sensor with OIS, Knox security, and Galaxy AI features. We should get more information on this device in the coming months.
