ROG Phone 9 with Snapdragon 8 Elite to be announced on November 19

At the Snapdragon Summit 2024 earlier today, ASUS confirmed that the ROG Phone 9 series, successor to last year’s ROG Phone 8 series, will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship SoC. Soon after, the company has also confirmed that it will be introduced on November 19th.

At the event, ASUS teased ‘AI on, game on’ and said that it will use AI to enhance the gaming experience. Earlier rumours revealed up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. It is said to come with 65W wired charging, similar to the predecessor, and will likely retain IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.

ASUS has also teased AI photography, a new AniMe version on the back with Mini-LEDs, a new retro experience with gaming triggers, and more.

ROG Phone 9 launch event

The ROG Phone 9 launch event on November 19th starts at 12:00 PM CET (4:30PM IST), and we should know all the details when it goes official next month.
