Synology, a provider of NAS (Network-Attached Storage) systems, has introduced its first enterprise application blueprint in India. The company has seen a 600% increase in business sector revenue in India since 2021, contributing to a total revenue growth of 350% as it expands its footprint in the country’s IT infrastructure market.

Synology’s latest offerings aim to meet the increasing demands of businesses for data management and security solutions. One of the key introductions is the ActiveProtect series, a backup solution designed for multi-server environments. It features data immutability, which helps organizations protect their data from cyber threats such as ransomware.

Additionally, Synology has introduced the Scale-out Solution, which allows businesses to scale their storage needs as they grow. The solution supports both file and object storage. The company also updated its C2 Surveillance Station, a cloud-based video monitoring system with AI capabilities and encryption, tailored for remote environments without local servers.

Synology is also set to expand its Office Suite by adding features like a chat app, email client, and calendar. These tools aim to provide businesses with an all-in-one platform for communication and scheduling, simplifying team collaboration and productivity.

In a conversation with FoneArena, Joanne Weng, Synology’s Director of International Business, explained the company’s emphasis on on-premise solutions, a contrast to the cloud-focused services of companies like Google and Microsoft. “Not all organizations can adopt cloud-based solutions, particularly in sectors like government, where data must be stored locally,” Weng said. “Synology has always excelled at offering on-premise solutions, and now we’re bringing those capabilities to the Indian market.”

Weng also emphasized Synology’s all-in-one solutions, integrating both hardware and software to offer a single-vendor option, simplifying IT management. “We make the hardware, the software, and the integration, all in one place. Customers don’t have to worry about piecing together different solutions,” she noted during her conversation with FoneArena.

Joanne Weng also emphasized the company’s balanced pricing strategy, explaining, “We’re not positioning ourselves at the lowest cost, but we offer very competitive pricing. The main goal is to bring premium services while making them accessible. We’re opening the door for businesses that thought they might not have had the chance to adopt these solutions.”

Tailored Solutions for the Indian Market

Synology is positioning its products to meet the needs of diverse Indian businesses, from SMEs to larger organizations. The company is focused on data security and IT management, areas where awareness is still growing among smaller firms.

In addition to its product offerings, Synology plans to strengthen partnerships with local vendors and improve product availability across India. The company is also making efforts to reduce its environmental impact by adopting more eco-friendly practices in its packaging and materials.

Synology’s continued focus on data management, backup, and surveillance solutions positions the company to address the evolving IT needs of Indian businesses as they navigate digital transformation.
