Samsung TVs are getting 4K Generative Wallpapers

Samsung has introduced a Generative Wallpaper for its 2024 Neo QLED and QLED TV models. Powered by Tizen OS, this feature uses artificial intelligence to create personalized 4K images that enhance the TV’s display.

Generative Wallpaper offers users a unique way to customize their viewing experience by generating high-quality visuals that complement their home decor. The feature is integrated into Samsung’s Ambient Mode, which transforms the TV into a canvas for curated content, including weather updates, news, and time.

To access Generative Wallpaper, users can simply navigate to the Ambient Mode menu and select a theme like “Happy Holiday” or “Party.” Samsung’s AI then generates stunning 4K images that harmonize with the user’s home environment.

Generative Wallpaper is initially launching in South Korea, North America, and Europe this month, with a global rollout planned for 2025.

Regarding the new feature, Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said:

Generative Wallpaper brings a new dimension of personalization to our customers’ screens, allowing them to customize their TVs in a way that truly reflects their style. As we continue to push the boundaries of AI technology, we look forward to transforming the home entertainment experience and evolving how users interact with their screens.
