AI Unblur in OxygenOS 15 automatically fixes blurry images without the need for additional apps. This feature works exceptionally well even when there are people in the frame, not just for eliminating reflections in scenic shots, said the company. All these AI features are performed in the cloud, so it needs internet connectivity.

Intelligent Search is an AI-powered feature that leverages natural language processing, allowing you to search across apps like Settings, Files, and Notes using simple, everyday language. Unlike traditional keyword-based searches, Intelligent Search goes beyond the surface to provide faster, more accurate search capabilities. This uses both the cloud and on-device AI capabilities.
Circle to Search and Pass Scan
The Circle to Search feature enables users to quickly search for anything displayed on their phone. With a simple long press of the navigation bar or Home button, you can instantly activate a search mode that allows you to draw a circle or tap on any element on the screen.
With Pass Scan, you can simply scan your paper boarding pass using your phone’s camera or select an image from your photo album. Pass Scan will quickly extract the necessary information and add your boarding pass to Google Wallet for easy access. Theft Protection
OxygenOS 15 incorporates comprehensive theft protection measures to safeguard user’s device in the event of theft. If the device detects unusual acceleration, such as sudden movement, it will automatically lock to prevent unauthorized access.
You can also remotely lock your device using the FindMyDevice portal, even without logging into a Google account with your phone number, to secure your device. If your phone goes offline or the SIM card is removed, an offline lock will be activated to further protect your data. For added security, sensitive actions like disabling anti-theft functions require biometric verification.
There is also Google Play Protect system to analyze app behavior and detect potential malware, ensuring your device stays secure.
Availability
OnePlus confirmed that it will introduce the Oxygen OS 15 open beta version first for the OnePlus 12 5G starting from October 30th with other devices to follow.
However, the AI features will begin rolling out to OnePlus products by the end of November. To ensure optimal performance, select AI features will be made available exclusively on designated models, said the company.
