Vi adds Sun NXT to Vi Movies & TV App subscription

Vi today announced a new collaboration with the OTT platform Sun NXT, offering its users access to a rich library of South Indian movies, exclusive series, TV shows, live TV, and more. The content is available in seven languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, and Hindi.

With this integration, Vi subscribers can enjoy Sun NXT alongside other popular OTT services like Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, and ManoramaMax through the Vi Movies & TV Plus pack. This all-in-one package allows users to save on separate OTT subscriptions and eliminates the need to manage multiple subscriptions and payments individually.

Vi highlighted data from a FICCI-EY study, showing regional OTT content at 52% compared to 48% for Hindi content in 2023. This trend underscores the demand for regional content, and Vi remains dedicated to delivering high-quality regional OTT options to its diverse user base, aiming to broaden audience engagement for these platforms.

Vi Movies & TV portfolio

The Vi Movies & TV portfolio already includes services like Klikk for Bengali content, Chaupal for Punjabi, ManoramaMAX for Malayalam, and Nammaflix for Kannada content.

With the addition of Sun NXT, Vi users can access a wide range of regional films, popular series, and fan-favorite titles like Rajnikanth’s Annaatthe, Vijay’s Beast, Dhanush’s Thiruchitrambalam, and Ravi Teja’s Eagle. TV shows in multiple languages, including Kayal, Singapenne, Radha, Nandini ka Pratishod, and Sant Gajanan, are also available.

According to Vi, the collaboration with Sun NXT enhances the Vi Movies & TV offering, providing a more extensive regional content experience in a single app with one subscription.

Sun NXT’s premium content is now available within the Vi Movies & TV Plus and Lite packs, priced at Rs. 248 and Rs. 154 per month, with no additional cost to users. All plans can be recharged via myvi.in or the Vi app.
