Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (2a) Nothing OS 3.0 stable roll out begins


After the recent beta roll out, Nothing today started rolling out the Nothing OS 3.0 stable update based on Android 15 for the Nothing Phone (2) and the Nothing Phone (2a) smartphone in India, as it had promised.

Designed to embody Nothing’s signature identity, NOS 3.0 introduces new features and enhancements that elevate the user experience while paving the way for more customisable and shareable interactions, said the company.

The new native gallery app bring features, including an advanced search and expanded editing tools like filters, markup and suggestions. Shared Widgets (in beta) offers new ways to stay connected, allowing interaction with friends and family displayed on the newly designed, fully customisable lock screen.

There are enhanced productivity widgets like the new Countdown Widget that allow users to stay on track, and the AI-powered Smart Drawer enables you to automatically categorise apps into folders, for more efficient organisation and access.

The Nothing OS 3.0 features additional enhancements including Improved Quick Settings, Enhanced Pop-up view, Visual and Performance Enhancements and Updated Typography

The Nothing OS 3.0 stable update is currently rolling out to the Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (2a), staggered throughout the end of the year. The Nothing Phone (1), Phone (2a) Plus and CMF Phone 1 will get the update in early 2025.
