LG has launched the Optimus Vu in Korea that was announced before the MWC. It comes with a 5-inch (1024×768 Pixels) IPS Display with 4:3 Aspect Ratio and 650 nits brightness. It is powered by 1.5 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon Processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread (Upgradeable to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich within 3 Months). It is 8.5mm thick and weighs 168g.
It has 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, 1.3 Megapixel Front Facing Camera, 32GB Internal Memory, LTE, HDMI, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, T-DMB support and 2080 mAh Battery. It comes with Reobeodyum pen made of rubber to take quick notes and drawing.
To celebrate the launch LG offers a secondary battery and a case for the first 40,000 people (SK Telecom 20,000 people, LG U+ 20,000 people) those who purchase the Optimus Vu between March 8 and April 7.
The LG Optimus Vu is priced at 999,900 won (~ US$ 894) and would be available from SK Telecom and LG U+ in Korea. There are no details about the worldwide availability. Do check-out our hands-on with the Optimus Vu from MWC 2012.
