Casio introduces four new Android tablets in Japan


Casio has introduced its latest tablets aimed at business users in the Japanese market. All four tablets have a 10.1″ 1,280×800 multi-touch LED display. The Paper Writer V-N500-WJ and Paper Writer V-N500-J come with a stylus and have handwriting recognition capabilities which also let it convert handwritten text to digital.

The V-T500-WJ and V-T500-J are powered by the same 1.5GHz OMAP processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. In terms of connectivity there is Wi-Fi, LTE, and Bluetooth connections onboard. Additional features include a card reader, mini HDMI output, five-megapixel camera, and an RFID tag reader. The tablet is rated at 10 hours of battery life. The operating system onboard is Android 4.0. Expect the tablets to hit retail in Japan in September.
