Microsoft unveiled a new Skype app for Windows Phone 8 devices couple of weeks back, now the preview version of the app is available for the Windows Phone 8 devices. Skype for Windows Phone 8 has been completely built from the ground up for better integration with the Windows Phone 8 and has a completely new UI, better notifications and more. The first Skype for Windows Phone app was launched back in February, and it was launched in Windows Phone Marketplace in April.

Download the preview version of Skype for Windows Phone 8 from the Windows Phone Store (Opens only on Windows Phone 8 devices). More features including call waiting would be available in the final version. There is no exact date of availability of the final version, but Microsoft promises that the preview app would be updated to the final version soon.
