LG Optimus G Pro announced in Japan, 5-inch 1080p display and 3000 mAh battery


NTT Docomo has announced the LG Optimus G Pro (L-04E) in their Spring lineup that comes in the docomo NEXT series. The LG Optimus G Pro first showed up in a leaked slide last week. It packs a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).  It comes with a whopping 3,000 mAh battery. It is 10.1 mm and weighs about 160 grams.

It has a 13.2MP rear camera with BSI sensor and LED Flash for better low-light imaging and a 2.4 MP front-facing camera. It is equipped for Xi (LTE service) that would offer download speeds up to 100Mbps, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC (for mobile wallet), one-seg mobile TV. It has 2GB RAM, expandable memory up to 64GB.

The LG Optimus G Pro comes in Platinum White and Indigo Black colors. It is expected to be available from NTT Docomo from early April 2013. No details about the price or whether it would roll out globally.
