Sony announced the Xperia SP and the mid-range Xperia L smartphone yesterday. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that they have started taking pre-orders for these devices. The Xperia SP has a 4.6-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and the Xperia L comes with a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor. Both these devices run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

The Sony Xperia SP is priced at 269 GBP (~US$406.38) (322.80 GBP including VAT) and the Xperia L is priced at 195 GBP (~US$294.53) (234 GBP inc. VAT). Both these smartphones would come in Black and White colours. The first stocks are expected towards the end of April.
