Asus unveiled the Padfone Mini 4.3, the first mini version of the Padfone few months back. Unlike the Padfone with a 5-inch display that docks into the Padfone station with a 10.1-inch screen, this has a 4.3-inch screen and a smaller Padfone station with a 7-inch display. Remember, there are two Padfone Mini variants. The Padfone Mini 4.3 that we have unboxed has a 4.3-inch qHD screen and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, while the new Padfone Mini that we saw at the CES 2014 last month has a 4-inch WVGA screen and is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 chip.

That’s the Padfone Mini 4.3 smartphone. It has dual SIM support with micro SIM slots. It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with custom skin from Asus on top.
Unlike the Padfone with metal build, this has plastic build. You have a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. You can remove the back cover to insert the SIM cards and the micro SD card.
That’s the Padfone station with a 7-inch HD screen. The Padfone mini 4.3 powers the station to turn it into a tablet. You don’t have an earpiece on top for voice calls, but it has a microphone and speakers on the back, that would probably be used to make voice calls. The phone has a 2-megapixel camera, but the tablet lacks a front-facing camera.
You can dock the phone on the back of the Padfone Station, which has a 2200 mAh battery for more battery life. That’s it for the unboxing. Check out more unboxing images below.
