Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 in India last month starting Rs 9,999, powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 64-bit 14nm mobile platform based on FinFET technology with Adreno 512 GPU that has support for Open GL ES 3.2, Open CL 2.0, Vulkan graphics and Hexagon 680 DSP that includes Hexagon Vector extensions (HVX), designed to support Caffe2 and Tensorflow for machine learning and image processing using the Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine SDK. POCO F1 MIUI 10.2.3.0 stable update starts rolling out [Download Link]
Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched POCO F1 running on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with a skin on top, called MIUI For POCO. The smartphone has been in news since the launch for good reasons except for a few issues, but the company has been very responsive towards addressing the issues and kept device updated as well. The device received MIUI 10 Global Stable update back in November which was based on Android Oreo but later in December, Xiaomi rolled out Android Pie based MIUI 10 Stable update for the smartphone. Get Android 9.0 Pie on Redmi Note 4 with OxygenOS 9.0 port
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was amongst the best selling devices launched in 2017 in India, despite launching in 2017 it was launched with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and was updated to Android 7.0 (Nougat) in August 2017. Redmi Note 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 mobile platform, the same processor that powers Mi A1 which received Android 9.0 (Pie) update along with Dual 4G VoLTE support couple of months ago. Xiaomi has already announced the list of smartphones eligible for Android Oreo/Pie update, but Xiaomi’s best seller from 2017 is not included in the list and now we can assume that Redmi Note 4 will not receive any Android update.

Xiaomi opens Android Pie Global Beta testing registration for Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi S2
Update – February 20, 2019: Xiaomi has opened registrations for global beta testing of Android Pie for Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi S2 (Y2) smartphones on its forum. Registration is open till March 15th (Beijing Time) and ROM will roll out staring March 19th so we can expect open beta starting March-end or early April.

MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM brings Mi Pay app
Xiaomi India announced their plans to enter into payment services in collaboration with ICICI Bank and PayU back in December. The company also started registrations for beta testing in December as National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) had cleared Mi Pay for large group usage. During the launch, the company said that Mi Pay would be integrated within the Contacts, SMS, Scanner apps, as well as App Vault in MIUI and, will be available for all MIUI users soon.
