realme 5 Pro gets official Pixel Experience support

realme launched the realme 5 Pro smartphone in India running Android 9.0 (Pie), which was later introduced as realme Q in China. The smartphone recently received Android 10 based realme UI 1.0 update with a bunch of new features such as dual earphone connection, animated wallpapers, customizable icon shape, new charging animation, realme Share (cross-brand file-sharing technology) and more. Get Android 10 on Redmi Note 8 with DerpFest ROM

Xiaomi’s Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 8 series in the country back in October running MIUI 10.3 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie) and later rolled out MIUI 11 update to both the smartphones. The Pro variant has been the talk of the town since it is superior to the vanilla Redmi Note 8 in every aspect, but Redmi Note 8 has better custom ROM and mods support compared to its Pro sibling, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. Xiaomi introduced system-wide Dark mode in MIUI last year, the dark mode brought the dark theme to many system apps such as Phone, Contacts, Messaging, Gallery, Calculator, Notes, Screen Recorder, and Updater. Mint Keyboard to be the default Keyboard on Xiaomi smartphones in future

Xiaomi announced Mint Keyboard back in September last year, it is the result of a collaboration between the Chinese giant and popular app Bobble AI. Designed for Indian users, Mint Keyboard aims to enrich the expressions and conversations with the AI engine. Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and later updated it to Android 9.0 in December 2018. The device recently received Android 10 update. POCO F1 (beryllium) has one of the most active developer community and as a result, we have plenty of Android 10-based custom ROMs for the device. Get Android 10 on Redmi Note 5 Pro with OxygenOS port

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was amongst best-selling devices in 2018, launched with Android Nougat, it received Android 8.1 (Oreo) update in June 2018. The company rolled out Android 9.0 (Pie) update to the smartphone back in May 2019, the device is almost 2 years old now and has already received two Android updates. It is almost certain that Xiaomi will not update the Android version on the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but in case you own a Redmi Note 5 Pro and wish to keep your device updated with the latest Android version, you may try a custom ROM. realme X and realme Pro series devices will get two Android updates

realme announced Android 10 update roadmap for its devices back in September, but it didn’t mention anything about the older devices like realme C1, realme 2, realme U1. In the recent episode of #AskMadhav, the company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth said that the company will roll-out one Android update to all the smartphones, but didn’t mention anything about the premium series of devices such as realme X2 Pro.
