Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with the Redmi Note 8 series at an event in India. Xiaomi announces MIUI 11 Global Stable Beta testing for Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A

Xiaomi announced MIUI 11 Global along with Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro in India last month, and also shared the 4-phased rollout schedule for various devices. The company has already rolled out MIUI 11 Global Stable for the first phase of devices including Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, POCO F1, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi 7, Redmi Y3 and MIUI 11 Global Stable Beta testing for the second phase of devices is ongoing. Get Android 10 on POCO F1 with Pixel Experience

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and later updated it to Android 9.0 in December 2018. Realme releases kernel source for realme 5, 5 Pro and XT

Realme launched the realme 5 and realme 5 pro smartphones in India back in August, and last month launched the much-awaited realme XT in country. In the August episode of #AskMadhav, the company CEO, Madhav Sheth had confirmed that realme 5 and 5 Pro users will soon be able to unlock the bootloader of their devices. Realme announces ColorOS beta testing for realme XT

realme announced Project X beta testing a couple of months ago for the realme 3 Pro. The company CEO, Madhav Sheth, had already confirmed that the company is working on Realme OS, and said that the company will have an official release once it is ready. Xiaomi announced MIUI 11 Global earlier this week along with Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro in India, and also shared the 4-phased rollout schedule for various devices. How to enable Monochrome mode on Xiaomi smartphones

Google announced the Digital Wellbeing feature last year aimed at being responsible with smartphone usage. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 gets Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI Global Stable ROM [Update: Roll out resumes]

Update: September 24, 2019 – Xiaomi has resumed roll out after it was paused recently. This has new 10.3.5.0 build number and includes Android security patch for September, 2019. Those who had already downloaded it previously, will not receive this update, said the company. Some are getting a 178MB update with just the security patch.
