realme launched the realme 5 smartphone in India last month running ColorOS 6.0 realme edition based on Android 9.0 (Pie). To recall, realme 5 packs a 6.5-inch HD+ mini-drop notch display and is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm SoC with up to 4GB RAM, the phone has a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, AI scene recognition, 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 4cm macro shots. [Sep 13, 2019]: The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones made debut under the Redmi sub-brand in China back in May, the company launched the Redmi K20 as Mi 9T in some markets later in June. Both the smartphones made their way to India under Redmi branding back in July. To recall, the Redmi K20 (Mi 9T) packs a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio and is powered by Snapdragon 730 with 6GB of RAM. Xiaomi introduced MIUI Game Speed Booster back in 2018 and introduced MIUI Game Turbo back in March this year, it is a framework enhancement that results in CPU and GPU smart allocation, and more system resources for games. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 7Asmartphone in India back in July running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0. The smartphone packs a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display, is powered by Snapdragon 439, and has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 rear camera sensor. During the launch, the company announced that Redmi 7A will offer portrait mode and AI scene detection and promised to roll out the features with future OTA updates.

In February, the company started recruiting beta testers for testing Android Pie based MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM for various devices but didn’t announce update plans for Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, later, the company announced that both the smartphones will receive Android Pie based MIUI Global Stable ROM.
