Realme announces Project X beta testing for Realme 3 Pro, could be Realme OS

Realme, since its inception, has gained popularity in the country because of VFM offerings in the mid-range smartphone segment. Last month, in an episode of #AskMadhav, company CEO, Madhav Sheth, had confirmed that the company is working on Realme OS, and said that the company will have an official release once it is ready. ActionDash v3.2 update brings Focus Mode and Usage Assistant

Google announced the Digital Wellbeing feature with Android Pie aimed at being responsible with smartphone usage. Digital Wellbeing helps you understand your phone usage better, app usage timers so that you can limit the usage, visuals detailing how many times you unlock your phone per day and how many notifications you receive. Xiaomi is looking for POCO F1 devices with touch issues

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched POCO F1 almost a year ago in India. The smartphone was a great value for money but had a few issues, such as screen bleeding but the company was very responsive towards addressing the issues. Users have been complaining about the touch issues on POCO F1, the company released various OTA updates to fix the issue but it seems like the issue is still not fixed. MIUI update brings shortcut to switch SIM card for data connectivity

Xiaomi’s MIUI is amongst the most popular android skins with more than 300 million worldwide users. MIUI is a heavy skin on top of Android, but what sets it apart from other Android skins is its feature richness and customizations. Xiaomi used to roll out MIUI Global Beta ROM update biweekly, including closed beta on every Tuesday and public beta on every Friday but last month, the company announced its plan to terminate MIUI Global Beta ROM program and said that Global Beta ROM updates will not be released after 1 July. Realme CEO takes a jab at Redmi 7A, calls Realme C2 ‘Desh ka Real Choice’

Just after the Redmi 7A launch in the country, Realme India CEO took it to Twitter to compare Realme C2 with ‘Smartphone A’ in a couple of tweets and referred to Realme C2 as ‘Desh ka Real Choice’ which was launched back in April. The specifications of the ‘Smartphone A’ in Madhav’s tweets resemble that of Redmi 7A, which Xiaomi is promoting as ‘Smart Desh ka Smartphone’. Xiaomi starts crowdfunding for Mi Truck Builder in India for Rs. 1,199

Last week, Xiaomi announced that it will launch 5 products as a part of its 5th-anniversary celebration in India. Now the company has started crowdfunding for Mi Truck Builder toy in India. It comes with a step-by-step instruction manual making it easier for kids to build the truck. Xiaomi says, according to research, construction based toys help in spatial reasoning, cognitive flexibility, and hand-eye coordination. Xiaomi introduced the Mi Beard Trimmer last week in the country, a product made in India for India. The Mi Beard Trimmer has a quad edge design, features ultra-precise self-sharpening stainless steel blades, and comes with 40 length settings. POCO F1 Android Q based MIUI testing might start soon

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo). Later in December 2018, the company rolled out Android 9.0 (Pie) based MIUI 10 update for the smartphone. Earlier this month, Xiaomi announced a list of smartphones eligible for Android Q update, POCOPHONE Global Head, Alvin has already confirmed Android Q update for the smartphone. Xiaomi confirms Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A Android Pie update plans

Update 4: June 28, 2019 —  Looks like Xiaomi has changed its mind. After saying that it doesn’t have plans to provide Android Pie update plans few months back, Xiaomi now says that it is looking for testers for global stable ROM for Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones, since it will end beta updates for all phones from July. However, it is yet to roll out pie update for the Redmi S2/Y2 as it had promised to roll out the update around June.

Realme has finally started rolling out Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 stable update for the Realme 1 and Realme U1 smartphones in India. To recall, Realme 1 was launched in the country back in May last year running ColorOS 5.0 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and the Realme U1 was launched back in November running ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo).
