Photographs have just surfaced on the internet of an unknown variant of the Motorola Atrix. The device is said to be an updated version of the popular Motorola device. One of the biggest changes seems to be the new 8MP camera which is also capable of capturing 1080p video. A new dedicated camera key also finds a place on the body of the handset.

Mozilla today announced its plans to develop an open source mobile operating system. The OS will be focused primarily on web-apps. Dubbed B2G , the OS will make use of HTML5 capabilities to deliver basic phone functionality via various APIs.

9to5 Mac reports that Apple is adding support for face recognition in iOS 5.0 . The feature will be accessible via API calls by developers allowing for some very interesting applications. The site reports that one of the APIs allows for recognizing the position of the person’s eyes and mouth.
Mobile-Fun has got hold of design documents for case manufacturers for the upcoming iPhone. The image details some of the sweeping changes that Apple plans to do with the upcoming phone. Nokia has had an exclusivity agreement with Reliance Telecom in India for premium paid content on the Ovi Store. The agreement had ended a few months ago but there was no update regarding availability for users on other operators. Looks like Nokia has finally flipped the switch and enabled premium content for other users as well.

Tech website Gadgetian claims to have got their hands on the specifications of the upcoming HTC Omega. The Windows Phone 7.1 ie Mango powered phone is supposed to be the successor to the HTC Mozart. Specifications include a 3.8″ SLCD display , 16GB of internal storage and an 8MP camera. The processor is a 1.5Ghz single core Qualcomm unit while RAM is capped to 512MB
LG’s Android line up for the second half of 2011 just got leaked by PocketNow. The massive leak of devices shows 4 Android devices including the successor to the Prada phone. A new device running on WP7 Mango is also expected to hit the market with high end specifications.

The guys at 3G Centrum have got their hands on a very interesting LG Handset. The phone which looks identical to the Android based LG Nova is running a build of Windows Phone 7. While it first appeared that a skin had been loaded over the default Android installation but so far none of the skins are as elaborate which lends further weight behind the thought that LG might be coming out with a WP7 based handset in the same shell as the Optimus Black.
