Nokia N82 Vs N86 8MP Camera Comparison

Nokia’s most recent imaging flagship, the Nokia N86, claims to be one of the best camera phones on the market. With an 8MP camera sensor, a wide-angle lens, a Dual-LED flash and an aperture size that should make clear night photos, it is clear that the N86 8MP has the big guns out. But the main question remains about how its camera performs in comparison to Nokia’s tried-and-true camera flagship, the Nokia N82 with its Xenon flash and 5MP sensor

Sony Ericsson Satio (Idou) Photo Gallery

The Sony Ericsson Satio, previously known as the Idou, has been announced as a concept device during Mobile World Congress 2009. At the time, the mere idea of introducing a 12MP camera in a smartphone was baffling, and it received a lot of praise from the general public, although many were wondering whether or not the Idou will see the light of day as a production device.

Nokia N97 vs N86 Picture Gallery

If you’re curious about Nokia’s newest multimedia flagships, the Nokia N97 and N86, and undecided as to which one to get, or how they size up next to each other, then here is a nice picture Gallery for you. Many people have been wondering about the design and material quality of these new Nseries, given how cheap the old N96/N78/N85 family felt, but these images should let you feel assured that the newer line is much more elegant, solid, nice to the touch, and feels a lot more expensive in the hand. Another concern for some people has also been the size of the N97. Showing it next to the N86, a small pocketable dual-slider, proves that the N97 is a whole lot smaller in the hand than it is on the press release images.

The N97 of course is an S60 5th edition handset that boasts a humongous 3.5″ touchscreen with a qwerty keyboard, whereas the N86 is an S60 3rd Edition FP2 device that follows the N95’s dual-slider design, with a relatively small 2.8″ non-touch OLED screen and adds the awesome 8 MegaPixel wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens camera. The N86’s kickstand also allows you to put the N86 on a desk at almost the same angle as the N97’s screen when the hinge tilts, which shows in the pictures

Both handsets come with bluetooth, 3G, an FM-transmitter, GPS, TV-Out, a 3.5mm headset jack and microUSB charging. The N97 prides its 32GB internal memory, whereas the N86 only has 8GB of internal memory, both being expandable with a microSDHC slot.

Anyway, here is the Gallery for you to admire these two handsets side by side. As always, clicking on any image will take you to the full blown 12MP original picture.

Nokia E75 vs N82 Image Gallery

Many people have been wondering about the size of the Nokia E75, worrying that it’s too big or that it doesn’t easily fit in a pocket. In order to set things straight, here is a small picture gallery comparing it to everyone’s favorite cameraphone Nseries, the Nokia N82. From the images, you can notice how well built the E75 is, how small it is, especially in terms of thickness compared to the N82, and how pocketable its form factor is.

Many of my friends have taken a look at the E75 and told me that they would love to own one, as it looks like a usual phone, but when you slide open the keypad, you get all the qwerty goodness and all the power inside. I have to say that I agree with them.

Nokia N85 vs N82 – Part 3 : Camera

The Nokia N82 remains the king of the darkness in terms of picture quality, as far as Nokia devices are concerned, especially thanks to its Xenon flash. Here is the answer to your questions, as the 3rd part of our N85 vs N82 comparison.

Nokia E75 vs E71, Camera Comparison

After having brought you an amazing E75 picture gallery, as well as a comparison of the device with its older brother, the Nokia E71, here is a comparison of both devices’ camera performance. Both handsets sport a 3.2MP camera, with no special lenses (ie no Carl Zeiss lenses like the ones found on Nseries), but with autofocus and an LED flash. Even though, on paper, the specs are pretty similar, the performance and the results speak for themselves. The E71’s pictures are grainy, washed out, have a violet tone to them, whereas the pictures taken by the E75 are more vibrant and more realistic. Nokia N85 vs N82 – Part 2 : OLED vs LCD

The 2nd part of our Nokia N85 vs N82 comparison tackles the N85’s biggest addition: the OLED display. OLED which stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode bring a new technology to the N85’s screen removing the small light bulbs from underneath it, and thus allowing for more accurate color renditions, darker blacks and a better contrast. Here is a comparison of the same image being displayed on the N82 (regular LCD screen) and the N85 (OLED screen).

Nokia N85 vs N82 – Part 1 : Hardware

After having brought you the Nokia N85 picture gallery review, we tackle a small comparison with its older brother, the N82. The first part of this comparison is axed on hardware and design.

Both devices bring the black plastic and shiny look in the design category. The N85’s screen is bigger and more vibrant due to its OLED technology.

The N85 is shorter, due to its slider design and also thinner, making it more pocketable and easily carried in a hand. The replacement of the useless Gallery key (N82) with a keylock key (N85) is a welcome addition as it allows to quickly lock and unlock the handset. Nokia N85: Image Review

N97 aside, the N85 is one of the most recent Nseries devices offering a range of features and combining the best of Nokia into one handset. Many people are calling it the N95 successor, or the better N95 as it takes the flagship’s dual slide design but adds a lot more to it in terms of battery, RAM, internal memory and hardware features. Here is an image review of the N85, but we also have a video review that we will publish later.

The N85 is a slider device. The main unit packs a 2.6″ screen with an accelerometer that rotates the display to landscape when needed. On top of it is the speakerphone with the front camera and the light sensor. Below it are the d-pad which also functions as a Navi-Wheel, the multimedia key and the red and green call keys. Another set of keys, that only light up when the device is being used are the right and left softkeys and the menu button and delete key. Continue reading “Nokia N85: Image Review”

Nokia E75 vs E71, Picture Gallery

Well, you have seen the Nokia E75 in all its glory, but how does it compare to everyone’s favorite Eseries device? The Nokia E71 can be considered as the E75’s big brother, it’s the device that brought QWERTY to the masses, as well as great build quality, and a multitude of features in a slim form factor.

The E75 carries the same design language, with metallic accents, but features a narrower size that makes it easier to hold it in one hand, especially when you’re making calls. It is also thicker which allows it to have the QWERTY slider form factor. Here are the comparison images, for your viewing pleasure (as always, click on the thumbnails for the full 12MP photos).

E75 1

The front of both devices shows their difference: the E71 looks like a powerful messaging device, whereas the E75 has a regular mobile phone look. This could be considered as a positive or a negative aspect for the E75, depending on what you look for exactly in a mobile. Continue reading “Nokia E75 vs E71, Picture Gallery”
