Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 to be priced reasonably

Samsung launched their first smart watch – Samsung Galaxy Gear back in IFA 2013 alongside their current flagship – Galaxy Note 3. A couple of weeks remain for MWC 2014 and there are clear indications that Samsung will unveil their next generation Galaxy S series flagship – Galaxy S5 at MWC 2014. Apart from the obvious fact, Samsung is also rumored to be launching their next version of smart watch – Galaxy Gear 2 at MWC 2014.

Flappy Bird is no more, pulled from Android and iOS stores

The very infamous Flappy Bird was introduced to smartphones and tablets back in 2013, but it gained widespread popularity only in the past couple of weeks. Ever since, almost everybody was complaining about the game saying that it was tough to play. A lot of raging tweets and posts filled social media. All these voices seemed to have reached the developer Dong Nguyen as he tweeted over the weekend saying that the game would be taken down within 22 hours.

HTC rumored to be manufacturing a Nexus tablet

HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, is facing a lot of heat and competition from other companies in the Android smartphone market and so they may have set their eyes on the tablet market “again”. HTC had previously entered the tablet market and met with little success with two of its tablets – HTC Flyer and HTC JetStream. According to rumors, HTC is all set to make a return into the tablet market with the next generation Nexus tablets.

Motorola schedules an MWC appearance on February 25

Motorola is being thrown here and there in terms of ownership – first they were owned by Google and now they are in the hands of a Chinese manufacturer, Lenovo. After being acquired by Google, Motorola has managed to deliver two near stock Android smartphones – Moto X and Moto G. The Moto X was exclusively made for US while the Moto G was made for emerging countries. Moto G was launched in India on February 5th, 2014. They were just recently acquired by Lenovo.

Sony sells off VAIO PC division, hopes to concentrate on smartphones and tablets

Yesterday there was news floating around the Internet that Steve Jobs wanted Sony VAIO laptops to run Mac OS X back in the 2000s and also there were rumors that Sony is looking to sell of their VAIO PC division. Today, Sony has officially confirmed that they are selling off their VAIO division. Back in April 2012, Sony had announced that they will be reforming their strategy and as a part of the process, they have identified three core areas  – imaging, game and mobile business.

HTC M8 – HTC One successor, leaked online with two cameras on the back

Things haven’t really gone HTC’s way since the rise of droids and HTC is trying to pull back things with their premium offerings. Last year, HTC announced their current flagship – HTC One to the delight of many Android lovers. HTC One defined styled in the Android smartphone market and came with an exceptional build quality and aluminum unibody. But the problem with the HTC One was their new UltraPixel technology which din’t harness the results they would have expected. HTC went on to use the same HTC One design and build for the HTC One Mini and HTC One Max. Suddenly we had three similarly built devices lurking in various price ranges.

Motorola Moto G gets priced in India at Rs. 12,499 for 8GB and Rs. 13,999 for 16GB

Flipkart and Motorola are all set to announce the budget Moto G in India. Just hours before the official announcement, Flipkart has thrown light on the pricing details which was the most expected announcement. Motorola Moto G comes in two variants – 8GB and 16GB and the pricing of 8GB is Rs. 12,499 while the 16GB version costs Rs. 13,999. Motorola Moto G is exclusively available only on Flipkart on launch day and it will be gradually available to other sellers.
