The Lenovo S650 and Lenovo A859 are two mid-range Android smartphones that Lenovo announced and showcased at the CES 2014. Both the devices fall in the mid-range Android smartphone category. Asus Transformer Book Duet TD300 Hands on
The original Asus Transformer tablet was a very interesting product as it was one of the first multiple usage device that could be used as a tablet as well as a laptop. However, the Transformer series has failed to make a commercial impact so far and Asus is not losing heart yet. At CES 2014, they announced another Transformer device – the Transformer Book Duet tablet/laptop that runs both Android and Windows 8.1. Pebble Steel Hands on
CES 2014 was expected to be filled with wearable gadgets and we weren’t disappointed or excited. Almost all the leading manufacturers now have their own version of wearable technology, most in the form of smartwatches. Pebble, one of the KickStarter successes is also a smartwatch company and it announced the second generation Pebble Steel at CES 2014. Asus PadFone Mini Hands on
Among the numerous Android smartphones and tablets that Asus showcased at CES 2014 was its trademark PadFone device. However, unlike the previous iterations of PadFone series, this year, Asus has decided to tone down a little in terms of specifications. Asus Vivotab Note 8 Hands on
Asus launched a lot of Android devices at the CES 2014 alongwith a few Windows based devices. Among the few Windows based devices that it announced, the Asus Vivotab Note 8 is one. It is the company’s first 8inch Windows 8.1 tablet. With the Asus Vivotab Note 8, Asus joins the bandwagon of companies that are interested in the 8inch Windows tablet market. Amidst a flurry of Android and Windows tablets and laptops, Asus unveiled a new series of Android smartphones at CES 2014. The new series of smartphones, Asus ZenFone series, comprises of three smartphones – ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6. Each of the smartphones is named based on their screen size and all these offerings fall in the entry and mid-range category. Introduction
Ever since Samsung introduced the Samsung Galaxy Note, the phablet category has picked up like crazy. Smartphones kept getting bigger and bigger and as a result, we are living in a time where 5inch displays are considered a norm for smartphones and we are seeing manufacturers push devices into the 6inch category one after the other. All this battle for big smartphones happened only in the Android ecosystem until Nokia pushed the limits of a Windows Phone device by announcing the Nokia Lumia 1520 at the Abu Dhabi event in late 2013.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite SM-T110 User manual leaks out
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite may not be official yet, but it sure will be among the cheapest tablets from Samsung when it is made official. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite’s user manual has leaked online in the company’s Polish website. Apart from the official leak, a Polish retailer has started taking orders for this cheap tablet – $165 for the WiFi model and $263 for the 3G Model.

HP confirms Slate 6 and Slate 7 voice calling phablet/tablet for India
Hewlett-Packard, one of the leading PC manufacturers had a shy at the smartphone market and met with little success. The company had backed out a couple of years back and now are reportedly re-entering the smartphone/tablet market. HP will reportedly announce two new devices – HP Slate 6 and HP Slate 7 phablet and tablet respectively in India later this year. HP is expected to make an official announcement very soon.

Disney games have been popular on the Windows Phone platform and just after the New Year, the company has made seven of its games free for a limited time on the Windows Phone store. The Windows Phone store definitely isn’t the most popular platform for developers or consumers, but is catching up pretty fast. In what seems like a strategy to boost the downloads, Disney are giving away seven games for free(only for a limited time).
