eyeSight and ARM join hands to bring better gesture support

ARM and eyeSight have gotten together to bring better gesture support for ARM Mali GPU based devices. As a result of the partnership between the two companies, eyeSight’s gesture technology will come incorporated into Mali T600 GPUs. The improved efficiency of gesture computation will help improve face and emotion detection, long distance finger tracking, and even 3D motion recognition (such as finger pointing for selection).

Gionee recently launched their flagship – Gionee Elife E6 in India for Rs. 22,999. Among the various features of Gionee Elife E6, some of the most notable ones include its 5inch Full HD display(pixel density of 441ppi), 1.5GHz MediaTek Quadcore MT6589T processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. In terms of camera, it houses a 13MP auto focus camera with BSI sensor, LED flash on the rear side and a 5MP front-facing camera with 28mm wide angle lens.

Xiaomi sells 100,000 Mi 3s in less than 90 seconds

Xiaomi, one of leading manufacturers of Android smartphones in China, have just announced that they have sold 100,000 Xiaomi Mi3 in less than 90 seconds of its launch. This news comes courtesy of Xiamoi Mobile’s Twitter account where they have mentioned that 100000 Mi3 devices have been sold in an exact time of 1 minute and 26 seconds. This clearly indicates a very high demand for the product.

Harman launches new JBL headphones in India starting from Rs. 1499

Festive season is coming up in India and we have various manufacturer launch their products just in time for the festive season. Harman have just launched four new JBL headphones starting at a price point of Rs. 1499.

Among the four models of headphones that were announced today, two of them are on-ear type headphones and the other two are in-ear type headphones. The latest J-series of ear phones are guaranteed to deliver JBL quality sound in four new lightweight styles depending on your taste. The four models announced today include – J01A, J22A, J03A and J55A. The first two are the in-ear type headphones while the last two are the on-ear type model respectively.

Just like the other phones in the Andi series, the Andi 4a runs on Android and it features mid-range specifications. It has a 4.0-inch (480×800 pixels) display, powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Cortex A9 Processor, runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and a 8MP rear camera. It has 35 lumens projector that allows users to project instantly up to 10 feet by 8 feet  in VGA (480 x 640 pixels) resolution. The projector has a contrast ratio of 1200:1. HTC headed for its first loss in history

HTC has not been having the best of days ever since the market took a turn from feature phones to touch-screen smartphones. HTC went with Android and Windows Phone(mostly Android) as its choice of platform for its devices and there were some good products like the HTC One. Despite good products, HTC has not been able to live up to reputation it once used to have and now, for the first time since 2002 when the Taiwanese company went public, HTC is looking at a loss in a quarter.
