Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 3 T211 in April and it has been available since July. The Galaxy Tab 3 T211 is a 7inch mid-range Android tablet from Samsung that was launched keeping in mind the mid-range tablet buyers. Galaxy Tab 3 T211 is the one with the calling abilities while the Galaxy Tab 3 T210 is the WiFi version.

Google Nexus 7 gets a price cut, 16GB WiFi only version now available for Rs. 9,999
Google Nexus 7 was launched in India quite late and went for sale at Rs. 15,999 for the 16GB WiFi version. Around a couple of months back, Google announced their second version of Nexus 7 as the Google Nexus 7 2013 with an upgraded processor and a much better display. Earlier in July, just after the announcement of new Nexus 7, Amazon had slashed the price of Nexus 7 to Rs. 11,999 for the 16GB version.Now, Amazon and Flipkart, two popular giants of India’s eCommerce market slashed the price of original Nexus 7 to just Rs. 9,999 for the 16GB version.
Beats buys back $265 million of shares and bids good bye to HTC
HTC has been struggling in the smartphone market despite some encouraging HTC One sales. HTC held a 25 percent stake in the popular audio company Beats and that is one of the reasons most of the HTC handsets came with Beats audio. HTC had purchased 50.1 percent of Beats’ shares in 2011 for $300 million. Last year, the music company Beats got back half of that for $150 million and now they have totally got rid of HTC by buying their entire shares back for $265 million.

Nokia Camera App to combine features of Pro Cam and Smart Cam
Nokia launched the Lumia 1020 back in July and the talking point of the phone was its 41MP camera and its Pro Cam application that gave the phone a complete control of the camera. Prior to the Pro Cam on Lumia 1020, Nokia had its signature Smart camera application on the Nokia Lumia 925 that takes a lot of photos at a time and lets you manipulate them.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Gold Edition revealed
Samsung is infamous for the fact that most of its products borrow their “look” from Apple’s iPhones and now things are about to get wild for the South Korean electronics giant as it has just revealed a Gold Edition of Samsung Galaxy S4. Apple are just fresh from launching a “Gold” color iPhone a couple of weeks back and now we have Samsung launching Gold edition of their flagship – Galaxy S4.
Amazon Kindle Fire HD gets a price cut in India, now available for Rs. 11,999
Amazon just announced their new series of Kindle Fire HDX and now we are seeing a price cut on the existing model of Kindle Fire HD in India. Originally, the 16GB version Kindle Fire HD was available for Rs. 15,999 and now it is available for Rs. 11,999 (while the 32GB version is now available for Rs. 15,999). The price cut comes just ahead of the launch of new generation Kindle Fires.

Amazon introduces new Fire OS 3.0 ‘Mojito’
Along with the launch of new series of Kindle Fire tablets, Amazon also announced a newer version of the OS they use on their Kindle Fire devices – Fire OS 3.0 ‘Mojito’. The Fire OS is built upon Android OS and has been designed in a such a way that it makes the most of Amazon’s rich ecosystem of media and books. Samsung Galaxy S4 vs LG Optimus G Pro
Today we have the Samsung’s current flagship, the Galaxy S4 and LG’s first phablet – Optimus G Pro. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 was announced in March and has been available in the market since April while the G Pro was announced in February, but has been available in the market only since July. Both the devices pack powerful processors under their Full HD display. The Galaxy S4’s more fierce competitor is the newly launched LG G2 and we will be bringing you that comparison pretty soon.
Android Device Manager updated with remote locking feature
Google launched their Android Device Manager at the starting of August. At launch, Android Device Manager had the features to make your phone ring at full volume in case you had misplaced it, to map the location of the device and to quickly erase all the data from phone in case of theft or other situations.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3

Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs LG Optimus G Pro
The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is Sony’s biggest phablet and the LG Optimus G Pro is LG’s first Full HD smartphone. Xperia Z Ultra was just recently announced and has been available in India for more than a month now. Optimus G Pro was announced way back in January, but has been available in Indian only since July.
Gionee Elife E5 Camera samples
Gionee Elife E5 was announced in early July and falls in the mid-range Android smartphone range. On paper, it has a specification similar to Samsung’s yesteryear flagship, Galaxy S3. It comes with a 4.8inch HD SuperAMOLED display, a quad-core processor, Android 4.2.1 Jellybean, 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The Gionee Elife E5 is powered by MediaTek MT6589 processor, has 1GB of RAM and comes in a pretty well designed package. Elife E5 is currently available for Rs. 18,999 in the market.
The rear camera on the Gionee Elife E5 is an 8MP auto-focus camera that comes with Back Side Illumination(BSI) sensor. There is an LED flash to help you take photographs in low-light conditions. The rear camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps. The front camera is a 5MP fixed focus camera with wide-angle lens that fits more into the frame. The front camera records 720p videos at 30fps.
