Apple is all set to announce its next iPhone – iPhone 5S and its cheaper version of iPhone – iPhone 5C next week on September 10th. We have had various leaks and rumors suggesting that Apple was indeed testing a bigger iPhone and a larger iPad and today we have more information from The Wall Street Journal that Apple is testing iPhones ranging from 4.8inch – 6inch.

China Telecom almost confirms iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C release
For the first time, Apple is hosting two events for the launch of their premium iPhone. The first event is scheduled on September 10th at Apple’s HQ in Cupertino and the second event is planned for Sept 11 in China. According to the rumor-mill, it is believed that Apple will be launching two iPhones this time – iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311
Today we have the new Google Nexus 7 (2013) against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 311. The new Nexus 7 was launched in July and is yet to be available in India while the Galaxy Tab 3 was launched in July and has been available since then in India.
The Nexus 7 comes with an upgraded processor, much better display and a rear camera which was absent in its predecessor while the Galaxy Tab 3 has Samsung’s Exynos SoC.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311 vs Apple iPad Mini
Samsung’s dominance in the smartphone market is well-known, but the South Korean electronics giant is yet to stamp its authority on the Tablet market. Apple was the company that brought back tablets to life with their original iPad.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 311 was launched in July while the iPad Mini was launched way back last year. The iPad Mini is almost at the end of its product cycle while the Tab 3 is quite fresh.
Both the tablets are worlds apart in terms of build quality, the software they run and the internals they feature. Lets check out how they perform.

Android passes 1 billion activations, 1.5 million devices activated daily
Back in July, at Google I/O, Sundar Pichai announced that the total number of Android activations had surpasses 900 million. Ever since that announcement, the whole of Tech industry has been expecting when the Android activations will hit the magical billion. Yesterday, Sundar Pichai, via his post in Google+ announced that Android has surpassed 1 billion activations so far.
Last year, in September, Google announced that the total number of Android activations had surpassed 500 million with 1.3 million activations per day. This year, the number has doubled and the number of activations per day has rose from 1.3 million to 1.5 million.
Essentially, there are a billion Android devices out there in the world and the rate is increasing rapidly at 1.5 million activations per day. Last month’s Android distribution break down revealed that more than 40% of Android devices are on Jelly Bean, 2.6% increase from 37.9% in July. Google is yet to release the distribution chart for last month.
