LG Optimus 2X Gingerbread update to roll out this month in India


LG Optimus 2X would get the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update this month says LG India in their Tweet. The LG Optimus 2X launched in India this April and it runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo). It was expected to be available in June or July but it got delayed. LG has officially confirmed earlier this week that the LG Optimus 3D would receive the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) along with lots of enhancements. BlackBerry Messenger v6.1 (Beta) brings animated avatars, new emoticons and more

BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) for the BlackBerry smartphones has been updated to version 6.1 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. This version brings news features like animated avatars, fun new emoticons, customized colored chat bubbles, increased character count for personal messages and display picture integration. The BBM v6.0 was launched in July that had more social features, connected apps, BlackBerry app share and lots more. It comes pre-installed in the BB OS 7 handsets. Gmail app for iPhone and iPad now available, this time without bugs

Google launched their Gmail app for iPhone earlier this month, but removed it soon since it had notification bug that displayed an error message. Now they have updated the app to version 1.0.2 in the App Store. This Gmail app has some unique features such as labels, reporting spam, threads and lots more that the native iOS app does not have. Samsung Galaxy Tab 730 hitting stores in India finally

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 730 is finally available for sale in India, according to our friends at Mahesh Telecom. Samsung launched their new Galaxy Tab 750 and 730 in India this August. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 went on sale starting this September. This has 8.9-inch (1280×800) TFT (PLS) display and runs on Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) OS. HTC Zeta image and specs surface, 2.5GHz Quad-core CPU and Android 4.0

Image and specs of the new HTC phone codenamed Zeta has surfaced. According to the sources of Engadget, this device would pack in 2.5GHz APQ8064 Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and would come with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Other specs looks similar to the HTC Edge that is rumored to be HTC’s first quad-core phone that got leaked last week. This phone is said to measure 109.8mm x 60.9mm x 9.8mm and weigh 146g. RIM’s first BBX phone BlackBerry London expected in Q3 2012

RIM’s first BBX smartphone might launch in Q3 2012 dubbed as BlackBerry London. The Verge got hold of a dummy device and the BGR that has confirmed from their source that it is expected in Q3 2012. They also say that the BlackBerry Colt that looked like smaller PlayBook that was leaked earlier was scrapped in favor of the new BBX device BlackBerry London.
