After the ASUS Zenfone 11 surfaced in the Google Play console listing last month, the Zenfone 11 Ultra, the top-end version of the phone has surfaced ROG Phone 8 firmware, revealing the design and the complete specifications of the phone.
ASUS just refreshed its ROG lineup of smartphones and is expected to release a smartphone in the Zenfone lineup as well later this year. Confirming the news, ASUS Zenfone 11 with model number ASUS AI2401_D, was discovered recently on Google Play.
After a report from Taiwan which said that ASUS will discontinue the Zenfone series with Zenfone 10, and employees from the Zenfone team will either join other departments within the company or transition to the ROG Phone team.
The ASUS Zenfone series is set to conclude with the Zenfone 10, as reported by Taiwanese media. This move is part of an “organizational restructuring” at ASUS that has affected their PC department across Taiwan and China.
ASUS introduced its flagship Zenfone 10 smartphone back in June, and it revealed the Europe price at that time, and said that the phone will roll out in the U.S., Canada, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in Q3 2023.
A recent report from Android Authority initially suggested that ASUS had removed the option to unlock bootloaders on its Zenfone devices.
