Airtel launches 3G Services in Mumbai

After launching its 3G services in New Delhi recently , Airtel has launched it’s 3G services in Mumbai, the financial capital of India.

The tariffs are same as the Airtel 3G tariffs revealed before for Bangalore and Chennai. So readers from Mumbai , are you upgrading to Airtel 3G ?

BSNL Unlimited 3G plans now gone!

It has been the biggest dissapointment for all the BSNL mobile internet users, as the company has decided to discontinue its famous unlimited 3G data plans. It was a sad news for all those heavy users, who like to spend most of their time on the Internet. The unlimited data plans were considered to be hot cakes in the market, since no other service provider was offering any kind of unlimited plans on 3G. BSNL provided the Unlimited 3G plans at a price of Rs.1359/month(post-paid) and Rs.1499/month(pre-paid). Vodafone 3G Tariffs Revealed

Yesterday , Vodafone India launched 3G services in India with a really funny advert during a World Cup Cricket Match and seems like the Tariffs went up on the Mumbai site for a while before it was removed. We are not sure if these are postpaid plans or prepaid plans but seems like Postpaid as there is an advanced rental option. There are 2 kinds of plans – one for use in phones and the other for use in USB dongles we assume. Thanks to a dedicated reader who decided to leave a comment on our original article. The Magic Pill For Connectivity Problems On Symbian: NetQin

Connectivity settings on Symbian have been Achilles heel for the platform ever since EDGE and then 3G and WiFi were introduced to mobile phones. At first, it was each app that wanted to connect and kept nagging you with a popup. Then Destinations were ushered in S60 3rd FP2, making it possible to seamlessly switch between a data connection and WiFi, but you still had to approve connectivity and pick a Destination for each app. Then, on Symbian^1 and 3, something awesome was introduced to help with that: a default “Internet” destination and connections could happen without your approval. Except, like I said in my N8 review, it ended up being an absolute nightmare.

MTNL Delhi Unlimited 3G Plans at Rs.750 per month

BSNL was the first to Unlimited 3G plans in India. Now MTNL Delhi users can rejoice as the operator has come up with Promotional Offers for providing Unlimited 3G Data to both Prepaid and Postpaid users.These plans from MTNL are slightly more expensive compared to BSNL but its more than welcome ! Airtel 3G launched in Chennai & Coimbatore !

Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecom service provider has today launched their 3G services in two of Tamilnadu’s major cities Chennai and Coimbatore. FoneArena was present at the launch event today. Cinestar and Airtel’s Brand Ambassador Karthi Shivakumar was present at the event, and was one of the first persons to try out Airtel’s 3G video calling.
