Looks like Apple is just heating up the mobile phone war in India. After launching the iPhone 4 in India recently , it has now launched the 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS in the country. BGR is reporting that the 3GS has been launched for Rs.19990. Apple has always been blamed for making the iPhone a costly affair in India and look like all that is going to change. The price of the 8GB 3GS iPhone might send a shiver down the spine of Nokia and Samsung who pretty much dominate the category.
Canadian carrier Bell is now carrying the Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS refurbished version. The Apple iPhone 3G will cost you $9.95, or you can get the the iPhone 3GS 16 GB for $49.95 or the 32 GB version for $99.95 (this is Canadian dollar!). Both phone comes with a warranty of 90 days, so if you are not happy with your iPhone, then you can return it anytime between your first 90 days with your refurbished iPhone, or you can wait for the Apple iPhone 4, which is about to hit Canada. BGR is reporting that the new iPhone 4 will be available in Stores on June 24th and that the 3GS will be getting a price cut for various models. Pricing of the iPhone 4 is still not known. More on this soon.
But having looked the specs and features of the iPhone 4 , what price are you willing to pay for the device ?
Update price is $199 in the US for the 16GB model, and $299 for the 32GB model ( with a contract on AT&T)

All of you might have seen the iPhone 4G pictures from Vietnam and now we have found some comparison pictures of the iPhone 4G or HD next to the 3GS .What’s interesting is that the new iPhone looks a bit smaller than the old one and its slightly thinner too.
Our friends in US are pre-ordering a 4G / WiMax Phone – the HTC EVO 4G. In India , we still don’t have widespread 3G coverage. 3G services are being offered by only BSNL and MTNL currently and auctions for private players are hopefully starting in April.
Many users in India are already carrying a 3G capable device thanks to handset makers like Nokia and the likes. But most of those users cannot use the 3G feature on the phone here. WSJ reports that iPhone is already shaking up Korea as operator KT is launching the iPhone in South Korea on November 28th that’s today !
