Nokia Lumia 800 Price Drops to Rs.18867
Nokia’s first Windows Phone device, the Nokia Lumia 800 just got a major price drop. The phone is now available for Rs. 18,867 and includes a free Monster in-ear headset worth Rs.5,110. The Lumia 800 runs on Windows Phone 7.5 and is expected to get an update to Windows Phone 7.8 soon.
Nokia Lumia 800 gets firmware update , Battery life reportedly tripled
Nokia’s first Windows Phone handset , the Lumia 800 has received its 3rd major update since launch. The update reportedly fixes the fairly average battery life of the handset. Initial reports estimate upto triple the battery life compared to the previous update.

Nokia confirms India least impacted by Lumia battery issue , software fix coming in early 2012
Nokia has started selling the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 in India few days back. Although we did not experience any dramatic problem with battery life on the Lumia 800 , looks like some users are facing battery life issues on the devices. Nokia India has issued a statement to FoneArena to clarify the same. Nokia says that a software problem is preventing some units from accessing the full battery capacity and that a software fix is coming in early 2012 which would address this issues and improve battery life for those units. Nokia Lumia 800 Pre-Orders start in India
Nokia Stores across India have started to take Pre-orders for the first Windows Phone device from Nokia , the Lumia 800. Most Nokia Priority Stores across the country have the device on display as well. In case you wanted to check out the 1st Windows phone from Nokia , you can walk in and get your hands on the device. In order to reserve your unit , you must pay a small advance in the range of Rs.1000-2000 and the device will be made available in the next 10 days according the the store. The final retail price of the Lumia 800 is not yet fixed due to the fluctuating dollar we assume, but the person in a store hinted at a final retail price of Rs.30000-33000. Nokia holding Windows Phone event on Nov 14th in India
Nokia India just sent us an invite for a launch event on Nov 14th. The invite talks about Amazing New Experiences. We are betting this is the India launch of the Windows Phone devices. Nokia announced the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 devices at Nokia World 2011 last month where the company promised to bring these devices to India before the end of the year. The Lumia 710 would be coming first followed by the Lumia 800 from what we have learnt. Interestingly both these devices use a microSIM card like the iPhone 4 , 4s and Nokia N9. Would be interesting to see how operators address this issue. Pricing wise the Lumia 710 is expected to be cheaper than the 800 and the stated pricing is 270 euros and the device can come at around Rs.20,000

Nokia Lumia 800 Announced at Nokia World
Nokia has just revealed one of its first Windows Phone devices ie the Nokia 800 Lumia. The phone runs on Windows Phone 7.5 and is powered by a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 512MB of RAM.
Exclusive : is the Nokia 800 coming to Airtel in India?
An Anonymous tipster just sent us this rather shady picture of the rumoured Nokia 800 for Airtel India. We are not sure why the image is in Black and White and not in colour. But anyways Airtel and Nokia have been long time partners and it’s very much possible that Airtel might be the first to carry the first Nokia Windows Phone device which is expected to be unveiled later this month at Nokia World.
