Amazon has announced refreshes to their Echo line of smart speakers with the launch of the Echo (4th Gen), Echo Dot (4th Gen) and the Echo Dot (4th Gen) with clock. They all have design refreshes in a new spherical shape, improved sound quality and bass, a tap-to-snooze feature and a Low Power Mode for power savings.
Amazon today launched Echo Spot, a small Echo device with 2.5 inch circular display that can be used on your desk or a nightstand so you can view your calendar, see the weather update, check the time, wake up to music alarms, turn your lights on and off, see shopping and to do lists, and more. Amazon has launched three Alexa powered smart speakers – Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot in India. The devices were expected to be launched in the country before Diwali. The new Echo and Echo Plus smart speakers were announced last week in the US.

After the successful Echo virtual assistant that was introduced back in 2014, the company has introduced its successor, Amazon Tap in the form of a portable speaker and Echo Dot, which is a tiny disk. The Amazon Tap has dual stereo speakers with Dolby processing that promises crisp vocals, extended bass response, and 360° omni-directional audio.
