HTC Sensation phones to get Android 4.0 update starting March 2012, adds more supported devices
HTC has announced that the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update to roll out starting end of March 2012 starting with Sensation devices. The first devices to get the update includes, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE, followed by the HTC Sensation XL. Android Ice Cream Sandwich teased on Notion Ink Adam Tablet
Notion Ink has uploaded an Image of the Notion Ink Adam tablet running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). They confirmed in September that the tablet would get the Ice Cream Sandwich update and posted last month that they started building after Google launched the Android 4.0 source code. Later they said they were expecting the Android 4.0 source code in early November but due to the delay they need extra time and said the builds here have passed the ALSA issue. Samsung Galaxy Nexus Unboxing Video
The Galaxy Nexus is world’s first phone to run on Android 4.0 which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Google and Samsung unveiled the device in Hong Kong last month and the device went on sale in few markets earlier this month. The handset is priced at around 429 pounds in the UK.The box is unusually long and has the picture of the device on the front and sides.A very simplistic design with subtle marketing material. No mention even of the specs on the outside.The unit we got was a Titanium Silver color. The device boasts of a 4.65 inch SuperAMOLED display with a 720p resolution.It is powered by a 1.2 GHz CPU and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage without an expansion slot. There is a 5MP camera on the back and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. It uses only a normal SIM card slot unlike other recent phones to hit the market like iPhone 4s, Nokia Lumia 800 or Motorola RAZR. Adobe Flash coming to Android Ice Cream Sandwich before the end of 2011
Adobe Flash would be available for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of 2011, according to Pocket-lint who has confirmed it with Adobe. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus that was announced last month with Android 4.0 doesn’t come with Flash player. This would let the Samsung Galaxy Nexus users and other users who receives the Android 4.0 in near future would get full web experience. But the Android 4.0 would be the last version of the Android that would come with Flash support. HTC has announced the list of devices that would get the latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update. It is expected to be available in early 2012 but there is no exact timing available yet.
