Reports about Google’s Android Silver program were looming the net for quite some time. Now, The Information is reporting that the Android Silver program is being put on hold mainly due to the departure of Google’s former Chief Business Officer Nikesh Arora.

Google not axing Nexus lineup: Google Exec

Google is not bidding adieu to Nexus devices and will continue the program. Reports had surfaced online that Google is killing the Nexus line of devices for Android Silver. However, Dave Burke, head of engineering at Android and the Nexus program has stated that just because Google is launching Android Silver, it doesn’t mean that Nexus is going away.

Google’s Android Silver may launch Feb 2015, Snapdragon 810-powered LG handset to be one of the first?

There were rumors at the end of last month that Google is replacing its Nexus line of devices with high-end Android Silver phones. Last week, Chromium code of Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 were spotted online on the Code Review page. Today, popular Twitter leaker @evleaks has revealed that Google is planning to scrap its Nexus line and hence we will not see a Nexus 6.
