Android 13 beta for Google TV released
After launching Android 13 beta 1 for supported Pixel smartphones last month, Google has begun sending out the first beta of Android TV 13 to developers to get them started with the firm’s latest TV platform. The Android 13 TV doesn’t quite visually differ significantly from the Android TV 12. Mishaal Rahman, Esper’s Senior Technical Editor, says that the first beta update doesn’t include features that have already been revealed, like a better picture-in-picture mode or Fast Pair integration. YouTube TV is testing 5.1 surround sound support to more streaming boxes
About 4 years after YouTube TV made its debut in 2017, a notification for the new 4K add-on in June 2021 also revealed that 5.1 Dolby audio support would be available soon. Nevertheless, only “select devices” will indeed be supported at first, which turned out to be a limited set of smart TVs from Samsung, LG, and Vizio.
