The HTC Hero Phone has been launched in India today at a Price of Rs.31990. Whats really cool about the the Hero is the new Sense UI. Also for the first time on a Android device we have a full-featured mobile browser with Flash support so that you can watch Youtube on the go or pick that greeting card for your special one. I recently had an interesting discussion with Henri Moissinac of Facebook Mobile about their Mobile Strategy , their growth in the mobile space and their plans for one of the largest markets in the World – India.
Nokia is the largest handset manufacturer in the world and Facebook is currently the largest social networking site. The partnership between Facebook and Nokia started with Nokia’s popular devices Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97 and the partnership has been quite fruitful till now, with applications and home screen widgets released for Nokia 5800 and N97. That being said, the future possibilities seem endless and quite promising with the recent announcement of the Lifecasting application at Nokia World which ushers in a lot of excitement for the users.
The Facebook app on the iPhone platform is by far one of the most downloaded applications on the Apple App Store and the recent 3.0 version of the app is quite simply one of the best applications developed ever on the iPhone platform. The folks over at Android Community have managed to get their hands on the HTC Hero Android Phone which features the HTC Sense Technology . It’s also the first android phone to support Adobe Flash out of the box ! The Hero is runs the cupcake 1.5 version of the Android OS but it’s got a customized UI.

The HTC G1 or the first Google Android phone has already sold 1 .5 million units (pre-orders)
Its priced at $179 in America and comes with a 2 year contract.
Reports suggest that HTC is in talks with Indian operators to bring the Google Phone to India for as little as Rs.8200 but reports also suggest that the handset could be priced as high as Rs.20000
Anyhow thats much cheaper than the Apple iPhone price which is Rs.30000 approx.
So all your users who felt disappointed or fooled by the iphone pricing .. are u listening ?
