Rovio has re-released the iconic 2012 remake, Rovio Classics: Angry Birds. Officially removed from app stores in August 2019, Rovio noted the removal was “for testing purposes”. Angry Birds Epic arrives on Apple App Store in few countries
Last week, Rovio teased that they were introducing an Angry Birds themed RPG game and that it would be called Angry Birds Epic. Today, the game has gone live in App stores of countries like New Zealand, Australia and Canada. This is just a soft release and when the game is ready, it will be available for everybody across Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Microsoft Windows Store.

Angry Birds Epic – an RPG title, set to launch this week in Australia and Canada
Rovio teased the next Angry Birds game sometime back and today, we have information that the next game – Angry Birds Epic will see a soft launch in Australia and Canada this week. The soft launch will see a very early form of the game in iTunes store only and then when the game is ready, Rovio will launch the game globally across Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms.

Half of the Angry Birds games go free for Windows Phone 8
Angry Birds has been a longstanding mega hit gaming franchise from Rovio and usually, a copy sells for 99 cents, or 55 Indian rupees, in the local currency. There was a time when the original game went free for a while, as a part of Nokia’s promotion, but suddenly now, half of the collection has gone free. We are not sure if this is a store glitch or something, but exactly half of the Angry Birds collection has gone free in the Indian Windows Phone 8 Store. The games that have gone free are – Original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Star Wars and Angry Birds Star Wars II, while the Seasons, Rio and Space are still showing as paid.

Rovio Account now available on iOS and Android
Angry Birds has long been a staple game on most smartphones, and with increasing number of people using it on different device, the necessity of game save transfers were clear. Rovio acknowledged this need, and announced that they are releasing their own cloud service called Rovio account, which can save your game progress with a sign-in, and roam the saves through various devices you use. This has finally launched today, on iOS and Android. Initially supporting only the original Angry Birds and The Croods(which had it already), Rovio promises to work on adding it to all its other games real soon.

Rovio has finally made the original Angry Birds free for the iPhone and iPad. Rovio launched the most popular Angry Birds game for iOS back in 2009, and this is the first time the game has gone free. This might be a limited period offer, but we are not sure until Rovio announces it officially. The Angry Birds Rio for iPhone and iPad went free back in January. It was supposed to be a limited time offer, but the game is still free, so even the Angry Birds classic might also remain free. Angry Birds Star Wars edition launching on November 8th
Rovio today announced the next installment of its Angry Birds franchise, Angry Birds Star Wars. Following a teaser image last week, the famous birds will be dressed up to assume the likeness of characters from the classic saga. The red bird takes on the role of Luke Skywalker and we can even spot a Chewbacca in there !

F1 Driver Heikki Kovalainen has inked a deal with Rovio and as part of the merchandising and webgame partnership , will be sporting an Angry Birds helmet on the race track. The new helmet will make its debut at the weekend’s inaugural Formula 1 race in Melbourne.

World’s First Angry Birds Store opens in Finland at 11:11 AM on 11.11.11
Rovio , the company behind the hugely popular Angry Birds game series has opened the World’s First Angry Birds Store in Helsinki, Finland. Rovio is a Finnish company and it makes sense for them to open the store in their home turf. The store features Angry Birds accessories including birds and pigs found in the game and also life-size slingshots that makes interesting noises found in the actual game itself. You can also buy shirts, plush toys, bags. The store is located within a 20,000 square meter megastore called Verkkokauppa.com in Helsinki, Finland. The doors of the store were opened at 11:11 AM yesterday where we had the fancy 11.11.11 date.
