Apple just announced the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus at an event and we have some interesting information regarding the prices of the iPhone 6 in case you are looking to buy them in the US. While the contract prices start at $199 for the 16GB model , $299 for 64GB version and $399 for the 128GB version, there is a mention of a Contract-free T-Mobile version of the devices as well. We are not sure if these devices are still locked to the operator or unlocked. Still this information gives us a fair idea about how the unlocked versions might be priced. The Contract-free prices start from $649 for the 16GB base version of the iPhone 6.

We’ve been hearing how the Nokia Lumia 520 has been the best selling Windows Phone of all time, but if Microsoft’s recent words are to be believed, Windows Phone, as a platform, is now outshipping iPhone in 24 markets. Before you jump to conclusions, the iPhone is not doomed, because it’s the emerging markets where the 3rd ecosystem is cementing its place, most likely behind Android in the first place. This is a decent achievement for the platform, but tells us more about Nokia rather than Windows Phone, because these markets are clearly influenced by their legacy supply chain, and hence the obvious sales. Microsoft recently floated this fact with TechRadar claiming that it is the fastest growing mobile platform right now.

TellTale games, the developers of the “Game of the Year 2012 – The Walking Dead”, had released their next game based on the Fables short stories, “The Wolf Among Us”, for console and PC earlier. It is now also available for the iPhone and iPad on the app store. This is keeping up with the tradition of releasing their game on the most popular mobile platform(for games), as they had done the same with The Walking Dead. With cell shaded graphics and an amazingly immersive story line that changes based on the decisions you make, The Wolf Among Us seeks to continue the awesome story telling that TellTale is known for. It has received rave reviews from critics all around, and in the mobile form, the point and click game should be as good as how the Walking dead game was, or at least we hope.

China Mobile, the world’s largest operator by volume of subscribers is also the only operator in China that doesn’t offer iPhones or iPads for sale. The primary reason why China Mobile doesn’t offer Apple products is due to the company’s homegrown TD-SCDMA technology for 3G, which is an exclusive standard for the operator, for which most companies produce custom radios in their phones. But this might change soon, with Reuters reporting that Apple’s CEO Tim Cook is in talks with China Mobile’s Chairman Xi Guohua, for a possible cooperation between the two giants.

No, seriously, the cheaper iPhone especially has been a long time coming, right since the iPhone 4S, but it didn’t materialize because it never made business sense for Apple. Airtel has announced the pricing for both the pre-paid and the post-paid plans for the iPhone 4S. They started pre-orders for the iPhone 4S last week and it is expected to be available from 25th November. The 16GB version comes at Rs.44,500 and the 32GB is available for Rs.50,900. These plans offer free Local Minutes, Local and National SMS and 3G Data. Aircel has already revealed their post-paid plans for the iPhone 4S earlier this week. AT&T noted that it sold a gross of 4.8 million smartphones in the interim of the third quarter, 2.7 million of them being iPhone activations. Highly astounding for a phone, that was released in June, 2009. After the debut of the iPhone 4S, Apple proclaimed that the 3GS was free with an AT&T contract and that the iPhone 4 would plummet to $99 with a contract.
