This week was all about cheapest Android smartphone launched in India for Rs. 251. Ringing Bells – a Noida-based company – launched the Freedom 251 and the world went crazy. The company doesn’t have any history in making smartphones and anything else. All we know about the Ringing Bells is that it launched a very cheap 4G smartphone earlier this month, Smart 101 at Rs. 2,999.

Over the past few years, with the introduction of their smartphones and tablets, Archos has proven that it is not just a company that is known for it’s PMPs (Portable Media Players). Archos to unveil SmartWatches at CES 2014 starting from 50 GBP
Archos, popular for its Android smartphones and tablets has announced that it would unveil a range of SmartWatches at the CES 2014. These SmartWatches would lets you connect to both Android and iOS smartphones and would start under 50 GBP (Rs. 5,100), said the company. We saw the pebble Smartwatch with E-Ink display. Samsung introduced the Galaxy Gear earlier this year and Sony came up with SmartWatch 2. But the Archos SmartWatch would be cheaper than all these. Archos 10.1 XS2 + Keyboard Dock Hands On
During IFA 2013, alongside additions to its smartphone and other tablet ranges, Archos introduced the Archos 10.1 XS2 tablet that comes with a very cool ultrathin magnetic keyboard. The keyboard is a pleasure to use and slips away out of sight beneath the tablet (which can also be removed from the keyboard and carried around on its own).

Archos ChefPad Hands On
We’ve already seen companies like Samsung target the child-tablet market with the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids but at IFA 2013, we discovered that Archos may have produced an absolute gem of a tablet and created a market all on their own. Dubbed the Archos ChefPad, it is targeted towards professional chefs or those adults who spend a lot of time in the kitchen and like to follow recipes.

Archos 80 Xenon Hands On
Everyone needs a tablet to use on the go and that’s Archos’ philosophy with the Archos 80 Xenon, their latest debutant in the 8 inch tablet class. At first you may take a look at the specs and be less than impressed and it’s easy to see why but it’s worth remembering that whilst the Archos 80 Xenon isn’t as good as the LG G-Pad 8.3 (which has the only 1080p display in the 8 inch class), it will still provide good value for money as it’s likely to cost A LOT less than its rivals. ARCHOS7 has announced a new Android tablet for children, called the Child Pad. It has 7-inch display, powered by 1GHz processor and runs on 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It comes with 1GB RAM and has Kid friendly features such as Kids App Store powered by AppsLib which has 10,000 apps in 14-friendly categories including games, entertainment, communication, multimedia, books, comics, sports and more.
