ASUS just announced the Zenfone 5, the latest smartphone in new series at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona, as expected. It has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 Super IPS display with notch design and 90% screen-to-body ratio. The company says that it has AI Display with auto color temperate adjustment and smart screen on. It is powered by Snapdragon 636 with support for up to 6GB RAM and runs Android Oreo with ZenUI 5.0, which the company says is the cleanest ZenUI yet without any separate apps for browser, email, messaging and minimal third-party apps like Facebook and Instagram. Asus is expected to introduce the new Zenfone 5 series at the MWC 2018 event on February 27th in Barcelona. Renders of one of the Zenfone 5 variant with 5.7-inch FHD+ display, dual rear cameras, metal body surfaced recently, later press shot of the Zenfone 5 Lite surfaced, now images from the Zenfone 5 ZE620KL (X00QD) manual shows that the phone will have a iPhone X-like top-notch and a full-screen display. Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5 smartphone have received a price cut in India. The Zenfone 4 (A400CG) was launched in India for Rs. 5,999 last year and the Zenfone 5 was launched for Rs. 9,999 for 8GB and Rs. 12,999 for 16GB. There is no price cut for the Zenfone 4 (A450CG), which still retails Rs. 6,999. The Zenfone series received Android 4.4 (KitKat) update last year. Check out the new pricing below. Earlier this month Asus stocked 10,000 Zenfone 5 units on Flipkart, after it went out of stock in four days after the launch. It went out of stock again. Asus launched the Zenfone 5 smartphone in India last month along with the other smartphones in the Zenfone series. It went on sale on Flipkart and authorised Asus channels soon after the launch starting at just Rs. 9,999, but it went out of stock on Flipkart in just four days after the launch. Asus has launched the Zenfone 5 in the Zenfone series in India today. It was announced earlier this year at the CES 2014 and comes with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive multi touch display with Corning gorilla glass 3 protection, powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 with PowerVR SGX 544 MP2 GPU and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Zen UI on top. ASUS, the Taiwanese manufacturer, has been in the Android race for quite a while now, at times, experimenting with form factors and convergence. Niche markets aside, like any other company, ASUS also caters to the mass market crowd which just wants to pick up a smartphone. Along those lines, the company revealed three devices, with various screen sizes, ranging from 4 to 6 inches in screen sizes, but with identical user experience. These devices under the “Zenfone” range were announced way back in January during CES, but are only starting to appear in the retail market. After revealing the first Dual OS convertible, ASUS unleashed a whole new range of smartphones under the ZenFone range. Coming in three different screen sizes, the ZenFone line of devices are all about value for money and addressing choices in form factor as well as price. The three devices launched today are ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6 with the number denoting their respective screen sizes. All the phones are powered by the Intel Atom processors with different configurations for each model, lets see what each one packs inside.
