BlackBerry has announced that it would release the BBM app for Windows Phone to general public next week. The BBM beta app for the Windows Phone platform got 10,000 signups within 24 hours after the registrations began earlier this month, says BlackBerry. BBM app for the beta testers went live in the Windows Phone Store last week. The Windows Phone version has BBM features such as Feeds, Contacts and Chat. BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) for iPhone and Android arrived last October. Both these apps got 10 million downloads in just 24 hours after resumed the launch of BBM for Android and iPhone in October last year after some issues. BlackBerry announced that it added 20 million new users a week after its roll out. At that time BlackBerry said it had 80 million monthly active users.
