Google brings Android smartphone and tablet mirroring to Chromecast
Google has officially launched Android mirroring on the Chromecast. Originally announced at the I/O the feature will let Chromecast owners with Android devices to “cast” mobile apps, photos, videos, and anything else from their device’s screen over to their TV sets.

Google Chromecast now lets you stream embedded videos from Chrome browser for Android
When Google announced their $35 HDMI dongle in 2013, everybody saw a lot of potential for Google Chromecast. But Google had been little slow in opening up the SDK for the developers and it looks like it is slowly catching up. As of March 2014, you can now stream the videos from a webpage on your Google Chrome browser to your TV.

Google announced their 35$ dongle – Chromecast at the Google I/O 2013 event last year. At launch, Chromecast was restricted to US and eventually started rolling out to other countries. It is officially available in India and is priced around Rs. 3,300 from Amazon. What this Chromecast does is that it lets you stream content from your iOS or Android device or PC to your TV via WiFi.

Amazon now shipping Chromecast to India and other countries outside USA
If you were looking to get hold of the Google Chromecast which went on sale few months back , we have some good news for you. Initially this device was on sale only in the US and available only through Google Play , Amazon , Best Buy and few other retailers in the US for about $35. Google Chromecast Unboxing and Demo
Google launched the Chromecast last week and we already managed to get hold of this interesting device on FoneArena. So what does a Chromecast do ? It is basically a dongle for your TV which lets you watch online video and more on your large screen TV. You can watch Youtube , Netflix , Google Play movies and your Chrome brower tab on your large screen TV using this tiny little dongle which connects to it using the standard HDMI socket.Most modern TVs would draw power from the HDMI itself but certain older ones like mine would require external power. Nice that Google has decided to include a HDMI extender and also a power solution in the box. Watch the unboxing and a short demo in the video below
