Indian tablet market has yet again seen a dip by 11% in 2017, according to International Data Corporation’s (IDC) Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker. Indian tablet market falls 16% YoY, Datawind tops with 34% market share: CMR

Tablet sales in India declined 16 per cent year-on-year to around 7.6 lakh units during January-March, according to latest report from CMR. The research firm cited lack of promotional activities by device makers as one of the main reasons for the decline.

Tablet shipments in India drop 18.6% YoY, Samsung rules with 21.3% market share: IDC

A total of 701,000 tablets were shipped in India in CY Q1 2017 – a marginal drop of 2.2 percent from 716,000 units in the previous quarter, according to the latest IDC Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker. Tablet shipments in the consumer segment also declined 28 percent in Q1 2017 compared to the same period last year and resulted in a sharp 18.6 percent year-on-year (YoY) drop in total tablet shipments in India.The commercial segment accounted for one-third of total tablet shipments in India.

Tablet shipments in India decline 3.1% in 2016, Datawind leads with 27.6% share: IDC

A total of 1.06 million tablets including slate and detachables have been shipped in India in CY Q3 2016 remaining stagnant over the same period last year, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). The total tablet shipments grew 7.8 percent in Q3 2016 over Q2 2016.

Datawind tops Indian tablet market with 34.2% market share in Q1 2016: CMR

A total of 0.91 million tablets were sold in India, recording a 7% growth over the last quarter of CY 2015, according to CMR’s India Quarterly Tablet PC Market Review, 1Q CY 2016.
