Following the announcement two days back, Oppo has officially released Android 5.0 Lollipop-based ColorOS 2.1.0i Beta UI for Find 7, Find 7a.
The Oppo Find 7 may have been introduced in March this year but the handset has finally made it’s way to the UK and is available to pre-order from Amazon UK. The handset starts at £319 for the 16GB version whilst those wanting more storage will have to fork out £379 for the 32GB version. Oppo is releasing an Android KitKat based ColorOS v2.0 update to Find 7 and Find 7a. This will not be an OTA update, and users will have to download the update package and move it to the root directory of the phone, then update while in recovery mode.

Introduction
The Oppo Find 7a is one of the two successors of the Oppo Find 5. Oppo Find 7a is the slightly toned down variant among Oppo Find 7 and Find 7a, but by no means is short of power thanks to a Snapdragon 800 that powers the device. The Oppo Find 5 helped establish Oppo as one of the few Chinese companies which values its products and spends a lot of time on the design and build quality. Oppo Find 5 was one solidly built smartphone and the Find 7a takes after its predecessor with a similar sturdy build, but with a removable back cover, user replaceable battery and a microSD card slot. The Oppo Find 7a is available in India for Rs. 31,990 and lets check out how it competes against the slightly higher priced competition.
While Oppo’s flagship device ie the Find 7 clearly stole the show, they also announced a ‘lower’ spec variant of the phone that will be making its way to India shortly. Despite being the lower spec variant, to call it a mid range device would be unfair as it’s specs rival current flagship devices. Oppo is holding an event today in China where they announced their latest flagship device – Oppo Find 7 and its slightly trimmed down counterpart – Oppo Find 7a. Oppo Find 7a comes with a 5.5inch Full HD display sporting a pixel density of 403ppi and has most other features similar to the Oppo Find 7 which comes with a 5.5inch Quad HD display sporting a pixel density of 538ppi.
