Samsung introduced the Galaxy A8s (SM-G8870) smartphone in China back in December last year for Elf blue, Aurora black and Green color variants. Today the company has introduced new Pink color variants of the smartphone with gradient finish. One with Blue with Pink gradient finish on the back, while the other version has Pink with Yellow gradient finish on the back.

Update – December 21, 2018: Samsung has finally revealed the pricing for the A8s as 2,999 yuan (US$ 434 / Rs. 30,485 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version. It is available for order from today in China and ships from December 31st, however the Elf blue and Aurora black versions will be available only from January 15th.
After FCC certification last month, Samsung Galaxy A8s (SM-G8870) has passed through the TENAA ahead of the announcement on December 10th. This confirms the phone’s dimensions, battery capacity, 6.39-inch screen, triple rear cameras, rear mounted fingerprint sensor, glass back with a gradient design and a metal frame.
After Huawei confirmed the announcement of Nova 4 with in-display on December 17th, Samsung has confirmed that it will introduce its A8s smartphone with display hole for the camera on December 10th, a week before Huawei. FCC certification revealed a tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio display, and a space on the left corner of the phone for the display hole so that it doesn’t have any icons.
It is known that Samsung is working on Infinity O display packed Galaxy A8s which is scheduled to launch in December. It will be the first smartphone for Samsung to pack Infinity O which will have a small cut out at the top to accommodate the front cameras. At the Galaxy A6s and the Galaxy A9s launch, Samsung has teased another smartphone; the Galaxy A8s s with a new kind of display that is now known as Infinity-O Display.
