Samsung SM-A500 might boast of metal body, 5 inch screen and more

Samsung SM-A500 had first leaked last month when reports suggested that the company is working on A series of smartphones that will include three devices viz’ the SM-A300, SM-A500 and SM-A700. These smartphones will feature same design as the recently announced Galaxy Alpha.

Today, SamMobile is touting that Samsung will launch the SM-A500 that will boast of full metal body with removable back cover. Moving on the report states that the phone will have 5 inch (1280×720) Super AMOLED display  and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. Other specs include 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear and front-facing cameras, 16GB of internal storage and support for microSD card slot. Finally, it will have a 2,330mAh non removable battery.

The SM-A500 will not be dust and water resistant. From the aforementioned specifications it looks like the SM-A500 will be a mid range phone that has a premium look and feel owing to full metal body.

Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 LTE-A reportedly being tested for Android KitKat 4.4.3

Google is expected to announce an update to its latest OS Android KitKat 4.4.2 for quite sometime now. The Android 4.4.3 update is anticipated to be released at upcoming Google I/O conference in June. Meanwhile, it looks like Samsung is eager to push latest Android update to its devices soon.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Review

For the past 4 years, there is an event that most phone geeks look forward to; the announcement of the latest Samsung Galaxy S flagship. Ever since the launch of the original Galaxy S smartphone which was a big success for a flagship device at the time, we have all waited to see what Samsung brings in new every year with the successor to the previous model. Samsung have a history of providing a do it all device with every feature you could imagine packed into a single device. Naturally this year also everyone expected the same.

Each year Samsung manages to sell more and more of it’s flagship device and this year it’s expecting to do the same. However it does have some fierce competition from the likes of HTC and Sony. Only time will tell how it stands against them but let’s take a look at the S5 and how it performs.

Samsung Galaxy Round with curved OLED display launched on SK Telecom in Korea

Just hours after we got our first glimpse of Samung’s upcoming curved glass display handset, the smartphone has been officially announced. Heading to SK Telecom in Korea, the phone will officially be called the Galaxy Round.

The phone is very slim at just 7.9mm and weighs 154 grams. The battery is now a bit smaller at 2800 mAh owing to the curvature and physical design. The phone runs Android 4.3 on a 2.3 Ghz quad core processor which we assume is the Snapdragon 800. This is paired with 3GB of RAM and you’ll also find a 13MP camera at the back of the phone. The tech specs are a play on those of the Galaxy Note 3. The highlight of the phone of course is the curved glass 5.7 inch panel with Full HD resolution. Country wise distribution list for Samsung Galaxy Note III leaked

Curious to know whether you’ll be getting the Exynos Octa Core powered variant of Samsung’s next top of the range phablet or will you be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 powered variant ? SamMobile claim to have got their hands on a country wise distribution list of said handset that will inform you exactly which variant you’ll be getting.

The report goes on to state that the LTE variant of the handset ie SM-N9005 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor clocked at 2.3Ghz and will be paired with an Adreno 330 GPU. It will feature 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. While this will carry on in the 3G variant as well, the processor will be switched with the Samsung Exynos 5420 Octa Core CPU and will be paired with the Mali-T628 MP6 GPU. China will also be getting a dual SIM version of the handset that will also have the Exynos 5420 Octa Core CPU. Galaxy Note 3 sketches reveal Xenon flash while Samsung teases an updated Exynos 5 Octa

With the announcement of the next version of Galaxy Note getting closer and closer, rumors continue to spread across the Internet. In the latest turn of events, Samsung has teased an updated Exynos 5 Octa SoC through their Twitter account. This updated Exynos 5 Octa is expected to feature in one of the variants of the Galaxy Note 3. The image posted by Samsung suggests an evolved SoC from the previous generation. According to the image, the already powerful Exynos 5 Octa is getting even more powerful and enhanced.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to ship with 3GB RAM says Korea Economic Daily

It is no secret that Samsung will have a next generation Note out later this year. The Galaxy Note 3 as it will most likely be known is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor. The phone will also be amongst the first to pack 3GB of RAM if a report published in the Korea Economic Daily is to be believed. Other rumored specifications for the phone range from the obvious to rather outlandish. While it is almost certain that the handset will run on Android 4.3, we’re not too sure that it will pack a flexible display. Samsung Galaxy Mega might launch in India today

Samsung India is holding a launch event today in Chennai where the company is expected to add an interesting device to it’s Galaxy line up of Android devices.Samsung has not yet revealed what device would be launched but Fone Arena has learned from multiple sources including retailers that Samsung would launch the Galaxy Mega[6.3 inch version], [5.8inch version]in India today. It is not clear if  Samsung would launch both the 5.8 inch and 6.3 inch versions of the Galaxy Mega in India.UK pricing for the 6.3 version was revealed recently along with a July release date. So India might be one of the first few countries to get this new device. It would be worth mentioning that the 5.8 inch version is a Dual SIM phone and less expensive of the lot so we might see Samsung launching the Galaxy Mega 5.8 today. It has been known for a while that Samsung plans to introduce a new rugged version of the Galaxy S4. Dubbed the Galaxy S4 Active, we finally get to take a look at the device. The specifications of the phone are to be the same as the standard Galaxy S4 with the focus being on making it a water resistant, dust proof device.
