Google to shut down Inbox by Gmail on April 2
Update — March 19: After confirming that it will shut down Inbox by Gmail app at the end of March 2019, Google has started showing alerts for the users that says that the app will be going away in 15 days, which is April 2nd, 2019. Google has already shut down Allo this month, and will shut down goo.gl URL Shortener later this month and Google+ on April 2nd as a part of Spring Cleaning.

Smart Compose is a neat addition to Gmail which based on your email writing patterns and commonly used phrases, tries to predict what you will say next and surfaces it as a suggestion that you can simply accept. The feature was initially available as an experimental feature on the desktop and then was added to G Suite accounts. Gmail uses TensorFlow machine learning to remove 100 million spam messages every day
Google has announced using its new protections powered TensorFlow open source machine learning framework is blocking around 100 million additional spam messages on Gmail every day. It is now blocking spam categories that used to be very hard to detect. TensorFlow was able to block image-based messages, emails with hidden embedded content, and messages from newly created domains that try to hide a low volume of spammy messages within legitimate traffic.

Google Pixel phones to get Smart Compose in Gmail app, expands support to Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese
Back in May, Google introduced ‘Smart Compose’ in Gmail on the web, which uses machine learning to help you draft emails faster. Now, Google announced that it is bringing Smart Compose to the Gmail mobile app, starting with Pixel 3.
